The mission of the Friends of the Ogea as defined in its Articles of Incorporation is as follows:
"This corporation is organized exclusively for religious, educational, and charitable purposes, among which are the following objectives and purposes:
To form an organization for the purpose of aiding the people of the Ogea Tribe of the Madang Province of Papua New Guinea in their spiritual, educational, and physical needs.
To translate, print, publish, and distribute the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible in the Ogea language, or portions thereof.
To teach the people of the Ogea Tribe, in all forms of media, the doctrines contained in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and those doctrines set forth in the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments.
To engage in other religious, educational, and charitable activities, programs, and endeavors on behalf o the the people of the Ogea Tribe or the people of other tribes of Papua New Guinea as the Board of Directors may from time to time deem appropriate."
The Friends of the Ogea is a non-profit 501 organization incorporated in the State of Colorado in 1993. Donations to the Friends of the Ogea are tax deductible per a ruling made by the US Internal Revenue Service. Our financial records are reviewed yearly by Gonnella and Associates, Denver, Colorado.
